Last week a new study addressed the spectacular collapse of the Bering Sea snow crab fishery in 2022. While there is broad consensus that warming waters caused the collapse, the NOAA study led by Michael Litzow and researchers at the Kodiak Lab suggests that rapid collapses will likely continue and spread to other fisheries.
