NOAA Fisheries Denies Port Privileges to Fishing Vessels from 17 Nations
NOAA Fisheries denied U.S. port privileges to various vessels hailing from 17 nations, effective October 10, 2024.
NOAA said the denials are linked to involvement in illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing or fishing practices that harm protected marine life.
The affected vessels include:
- People’s Republic of China-flagged longline fishing vessels authorized under several international commissions
