MSC Launches Improvement Program to Combat Overfishing with Incentives for Fisheries
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) debuted its MSC Improvement Program in hopes of addressing the recent rise in overfishing. The group said it would offer fisheries support and incentives, provided they make measurable improvements over a five-year period. The improvements will be guided by an action plant that is independently verified, according to the MSC.
