Rhode Island Awarded $15.5M For Port of Galilee & DEM Marine Facilities Climate Resilience Project
The State of Rhode Island was recently awarded a $15.5 million grant through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program to implement a climate resilience project at the Port of Galilee and three state marine facilities.
This marks the largest grant ever received by the state through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. The state will match the remaining project costs not covered by the grant, which amount to $1.7 million.
