Japan: Frozen Cod Imports Plummet 80% in January-May
Imports of frozen Pacific cod have plummeted. According to the Ministry of Finance trade statistics, last year saw the unit price rise 41% year-on-year to 883 yen/kg ($5.39/kg), while volume dropped 81% to 906 metric tons.
