Gigante Salmon Cuts Production Outlook Amid Fish Health Challenges
Norwegian land-based salmon farmer Gigante Salmon is lowering its production expectations for two generations after fish behavior and fish health issues disrupted operations at its facility.
The company now expects 5,800 tonnes HOG from both its H2025 and H2026 generations, with a range of 5,000 to 6,200 tonnes. For H2025, Gigante estimates production costs of NOK 86/kg HOG at the 5,800-tonne base case, while H2026 is estimated at NOK 76/kg.
