Kaldvík Nearly Doubles Mortality Estimate From Iceland Jellyfish Event, Harvest Guidance Holds

Icelandic salmon farmer Kaldvík AS said the jellyfish event that struck its farming sites in Reyðarfjörður has resulted in approximately 11.5 percentage points of additional mortality in its affected 2025 generation since September 4 — nearly double the 6.5 percentage points the company had reported just three weeks earlier, according to a stock exchange announcement published October 7.
