ANALYSIS: Tuna Imports Drop in September, But Trending Above 10 Year Average

Total frozen tuna fillet import numbers for 2018 have been trending well above their 10-year average. Imports reached an all time high in August 2018 with 7,620,765 pounds, which represents a 20.94% increase over August 2017. However, we have seen a 21.45% drop in imports from the recent high in August to September. Total Imports for the month of September were 5,985, 754 pounds.
