Western Australia Octopus Now MSC Certified
The Western Australia octopus fishery achieved certification against the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Fisheries Standard for sustainability.
This is the first octopus fishery in the southern hemisphere to achieve certification, the MSC said in a press release. Across Western Australia, 12 species now have the blue fish tick, representing nearly 90 percent of fisheries by value in the state.
