Unified Command Overseeing Lightering Operations on Vessel That Ran Aground Off North Carolina
The U.S. Coast Guard 5th District has released an update on the F/V Sea Angels, the vessel that ran aground in Browns Inlet, North Carolina, back in December. According to the Coast Guard, the Unified Command – which consists of the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Marine Corps, North Carolina Emergency Management, Onslow County Emergency Management, and the vessel owner – is overseeing lightering operations to remove the fuel from the grounded vessel.
