EPA Settles with Pacific Seafood Over Alleged Clean Water Act Violation at Washington Facility
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has settled with Pacific Seafood over alleged federal Clean Water Act violations at their Westport, Washington, processing facility.
Back in 2017, upon an unannounced inspection, the EPA identified over 2,100 violations of the Westport facility's wastewater discharge permit. According to documents compiled by the government agency, the facility had discharge limit violations, as well as violations related to monitoring frequency, incorrect sampling, and incomplete or inadequate reporting.
