Majority of Salmon Still in Sunken Cages Following Severe Storm at Blumar’s Caicura Farm
A large number of salmon still remain in sunken cages at Blumar’s Caicura farming center after a massive storm came through the Seno Reloncaví, Hualaihué commune, Palena province, Los Lagos region in the early morning of June 27.
As SeafoodNews reported late last month, the storm ended up sinking 16 of Blumar’s salmon cages, which held 875,144 fish, with an average weight of 3,828 kilos.
