Tilapia Performing Better in Chinese Market
After years of recession, China’s tilapia market has been reviving this year. Its average price has raised by about 0.8 yuan/jin (1 jin=0.5 kilo) within the past few weeks compared with previous years, according to statistics from Agricultural Wealth. Processing plants, as one main buyer put it, have spent more on purchases, while more and more of them have also been updating products from primarily processed ones to finely processed ones.
