NTSB Determines Cause of 2020 Engine Room Fire Aboard Fishing Vessel in Gulf of Mexico
The National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) determined the cause of an engine room fire aboard the commercial fishing vessel, Master Dylan, that occurred on December 1, 2020 in the Gulf of Mexico.
The fire began due to failure of a diesel generator that resulted in the total loss of the $300,000 85-foot-long vessel. No injuries were reported in connection with the fire.
