Cook Inlet Salmon Group Files Complaint Against NOAA Fisheries for Fishery Closure
Cook Inlet’s commercial fishermen and processors are back in federal court, this time filing a complaint for declaratory judgement on a rule that allows amendments to an original filing. In this case, members of the United Cook Inlet Drift Association (UCIDA) and Cook Inlet Fishermen’s Fund are still “seeking the relief that was granted to them in 2016,” David Martin said. Martin is a commercial fisherman and president of UCIDA.
