Russia to Oblige Fishermen to Process 70% of Catch at Domestic Factories
Fishermen applying for fish quotas in Russia as part of the second stage of distribution may be required to process at least 70% of their catch at coastal factories. According to recent statements, made by representatives of some leading Russian fisherman and local media reports, this is part of state plans to increase the output of products with high added value.
These plans have been also confirmed by representatives of the Russian Federal Agency for Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo).
