Russia will retain its status as the world’s largest producer and exporter of the Kamchatka crabs in years to come.
That will take place by maintaining current production volumes and increasing exports to the Asia-Pacific market.
According to Russian analysts, due to the ban on Kamchatka crab catch in Alaska this year, quotas for this most valuable type of crab will be distributed only in two countries -- in Russia (27,500 tons, which is 94% of the global volume) and Norway (1,800 tons)...
