Kikka Sushi Launches New Vegan Line of Products
Vegan sushi is headed to the masses thanks to Tonny Soesanto, CEO of Kikka Sushi. The company, which has been a long time partner of Whole Foods Markets, recently launched Vegan Salmon and Tuna Sushi.
Both the new plant-based salmon and tuna products are primarily made out of konjac, a root vegetable, as well as red algae. Soesanto, who is a graduate of CalTech with a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, created the products through a collaboration with a partner company in Japan.
