Icelandic Japan Starts Importing Fresh Atlantic Salmon from Iceland
Icelandic Japan has begun selling fresh Atlantic salmon in Japan. According to the company, this is the first time fresh Atlantic salmon grown in Iceland has been sold in Japan. Minato Shimbun reported that the company expects to sell to mass retailers nationwide and aims to expand sales to 40 tons per week, 800 tons in the first year, and 3,500 tons per year after three years.
