July Surimi Production in Hokkaido Spikes by 75%
According to Kamaboko News, the National Surimi Manufacturers Association announced on August 26 the aggregated results of member reports: Hokkaido land-based surimi production in July 2024 was 910 tons, up 75% from last year. This was broken down into 910 tons of pollock surimi, up 80% from last year, and a negligible volume of Atka mackerel surimi (13 tons last year).
