Japanese Government to Grant up to $3.6 Million to Establish a Fisheries Research Center
According to the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), on September 16 in Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands, the Japanese Ambassador to the Solomon Islands, Yoshiaki Miwa, and the Hon. Agovaka Peter Shanel, Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade of Solomon Islands, exchanged notes on the grant aid of up to 511 million yen ($3.6 million) for the "Project for the Construction of a Fisheries Research Center at the Solomon Islands National University."
