ASC Launches New Farm Standard
The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) recently launched its new certification standard for farmed seafood, setting the benchmark for responsible seafood farming. The certification aligns ASC’s twelve species standards, rolling them into one global standard.
The formal launch was announced at last week’s Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona, Spain.
The new benchmark is built on four pillars: fish, farm, people, and planet.
