Norway has taken Russia’s place in the U.S. crab market, though Russia is hoping that possible restoration of economic relations with the U.S. will allow its crab fisherman to resume supplies to the U.S. market—once one of the most important for Russian crabbers—and thus compete with its Norwegian rivals.
