Views Differ on Prospects of Oyster Farming in Bay
IT is time to reconsider oyster farming as the Foveaux Strait wild oyster population declines, a Stewart Island hatchery manager says, but an industry stakeholder disagrees.
In June, Barnes Wild Bluff Oysters announced the company would finish the oyster season early after harvesting about only half of its quota.
