Russia Forecasts Record Herring Catch off Sakhalin on Rising Stock Levels
Russia expects a significant increase in herring catches off Sakhalin this year, driven primarily by strong growth in fish stocks.
Much of the optimism is focused on the East Sakhalin subzone, where scientists report a notable recovery of Pacific herring from the Sakhalin–Hokkaido population.
