Artificially Bred and Grown Eels to be Marketed for the First Time
The Fisheries Research and Education Agency and Marino Forum 21 will begin trial sales of artificially bred and grown eel on May 29th. Yamada Suisan of Saiki City in Oita Prefecture, which received the technology transfer, will be selling the eels. This marks the world's first introduction of fully farmed eel products to the market.
