Japan's Miyagi Prefecture Oyster Farming Co-Op Gets ASC Certification

The Shizugawa Branch of the Miyagi Prefecture Fisheries Co-operative is the first farming collective in Japan to achieve certification by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council's Bivalve Standard.
The co-op was certififed on March 30 after successfully completeing an independent audit by the third-party assessment firm AMITA.
