Cooke Aquaculture Gets Canadian Salmon Farming Op Four-Star BAP Certified Using 2-Year Audit Process SEAFOODNEWS.COM [SeafoodNews] October 5, 2016 Cooke Aquaculture is the world’s first salmon producer to earn Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification under the program’s new two-year BAP group audit the Global Aquaculture Alliance reported this week. The audit is designed specifically for salmon producers. In total, 19 of Cooke's salmon farm sites in Maine, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland attained BAP certification. This is largest BAP group audit for salmon farms to date. Cooke Aquaculture is now four-star certified against the BAP’s salmon standards. This means the company’s processing plants, farms, hatcheries and feed mills are all certified. It’s the BAP’s highest certification level...
