Former Seafood Wholesaler Indicted on Tax Evasion Charges

A former New Bedford seafood wholesaler was indicted in federal court for failing to file tax returns after authorities he say failed to report receiving millions in payments while running his business.
George F. Estudante, 57, formerly of Marion, Massachusetts was charged with two counts of failing to file tax returns and one count of filing a false income tax return in U.S. District Court.
Authorities said Estudante, who ran Basic Fisheries, did not file an income tax return for 2010 even though his business received roughly $1.4 million in payments...
