Northern California Dungeness Crab Meat Recovery Rates Show Incremental Growth

California Dungeness crab are filling out -- but very slowly.
State fishery managers from all three West Coast states agreed to delay the commercial crab season until Dec. 31 at the earliest, due to low meat recovery rates. Oregon crab results were made available last week. The California numbers from Dec. 5 testing were released this week.
