Calls in Russia to Lift Ban on Buying Herring, Mackerel from Norway

The Russian government may consider lifting the existing embargo on some fish species from Norway. Numerous calls from Russian leading fish processors have requested the change, citing their inability to utilize their processing capacities, according to the Russian Presidential Administration.
The processors' main species of concern are herring, cod, capellin and some other fish species.
