This year Vietnam remains haunted by three obstacles in its basa sales to its two traditional markets, the U.S. and the E.U.:. anti-dumping lawsuits, technical barriers and continually bad press.
On March 20, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced its final decision of raising tariff rates on Vietnam’s basa products after its administrative review. It's now the highest tariff rate ever imposed on its import.
