Gloucester Fish Auction Shut Down over Failure to Pay Labor Settlement

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange, owned by Kristian Kristensen, was shut down this week, after the Labor Department froze the company’s bank accounts.
The exchange was formerly known as the Gloucester Seafood Display Auction, and was sold in 2010 to Kristensen, who also owns Zeus Packing.
The bank accounts were frozen because Kristensen has failed to pay the Labor Dept. $240,000 from a 2016 civil action.
