Cooke Aquaculture Employees Rescued in Passamaquoddy Bay After Boat Catches Fire

Two Cooke Aquaculture employees were rescued by a Maine Marine Patrol officer on Friday after their boat caught fire in Passamaquoddy Bay.
According to a report from the Maine Department of Marine Resources, Cooke employees Brett Newman and Patrick Blair had been on a 40-foot lobster-style boat supplying feed for Cooke’s Passamaquoddy Bay site when they noticed smoke and flames coming from the engine room.
