Western Pacific Council Recommends CNMI Bottomfish Catch Limits, Tackles Other Issues in CNMI

The Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council on Tuesday made several recommendations regarding the fisheries and infrastructure of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands when it opened its 174th meeting in Saipan, CNMI.
The Council recommended an annual catch limit (ACL) of 228,000 pounds be set for the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands bottomfish species complex for fishing year 2019. The Council noted the next stock assessment for the fishery is scheduled for review ...
