Fishy Situation: Seafood Fraud and Mislabeling Found at NY Supermarkets
There are lox of problems with seafood sold at New York supermarkets.
That was the conclusion of a report Friday from the state Attorney General's Office, which contended "high levels" of suspected seafood fraud and mislabeling at New York supermarket chains.
The yearlong investigation found more than one in four samples purchased were not sold under a federally-recognized market name for that species, Attorney General Barbara Underwood said.
