May 2: World Tuna Day Spotlight on Protecting Global Tuna Stocks
By a vote of the United Nation’s General Assembly three years ago, May 2 was chosen as the day to celebrate the world’s most important fish, and the reason was sustainability. The U.N. said it was time to “ensure that we have systems in place to prevent tuna stocks from crashing.”
