ANALYSIS: Chinese Catfish Sees Record High Prices, Low Imports
Prices on Chinese catfish frozen fillets have been strengthening since the second quarter of 2019 due to increased tariffs on this imported species. All sizes are currently ranging in between $3.85 and $4.00 per pound, a record high for the market and a level we have not seen since 2012 prices were averaging $3.85 per pound.
