CEO of Samherji Steps Aside as Company Launches Investigation Into Corruption Allegations
Thorsteinn Mar Baldvinsson, CEO of Icelandic fishing conglomerate Samherji, will “step aside” from his position as the company launches an internal investigation into allegations of corruption for the company’s actions in Namibia.
Until “key material facts of the matter” are revealed through the internal investigation, Björgólfur Jóhannsson will function as acting CEO of Samherji.
