DFO Says Newfoundland and Labrador Snow Crab Fishery Will Not Open Before May 11
The snow crab season in Newfoundland and Labrador has been delayed again. Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) announced on Tuesday that the fishery will not open before May 11.
"Fisheries and Oceans Canada is committed to working with industry and partners across government to determine the best path forward given the evolving global response to COVID-19," the government agency posted in their Notice to Fish Harvesters.
