Sablefish Season in Prince William Sound Extended to End of Year
The state-managed Prince William Sound sablefish season will be extended to December 31, 2020 due to health issues related to COVID-19, Alaska’s Department of Fish and Game announced yesterday.
Opening on April 15 with a guideline harvest level (GHL) of 167,000 lb, the season would normally close August 31.
Landings are listed at 12,595 lbs. as of a few days ago.
