Anchorage Travel Restrictions Now Tighter Than the State for Visitors from Outside
While Alaska’s Govenor Mike Dunleavy offered travelers from outside the state an option to the 14-day quarantine mandate last Friday, the Municipality of Anchorage implemented on Saturday Mayor Ethan Berkowitz's Emergency Order keeping that requirement in.
Both executives are trying to keep Alaskans safe while allowing some commerce to restart, and not discourage visitors to Alaska. It has proven tricky for both efforts.
