PHOTOS: Coast Guard Launches Operation Bubba Gump to Protect Shrimp Fishery
It may sound like something out of the award winning film “Forrest Gump,” but the Coast Guard has launched “Operation Bubba Gump.”
The operation, which started in South Carolina and Georgia on August 24, was created to protect and enforce state and federal fishing regulations, with a focus on the shrimp fishery.
