Mowi Praises Brazilian Soy Suppliers Deforestation Commitment
Brazilian soy producers, who supply the farmed salmon industry, CJ Selecta, Caramuru and Imcopa/Cervejaria Petrópolis announced they will implement a 100% deforestation and conversion free soybean value chain with 2020 as their cut-off date.
Any soy that is grown on land deforested after 2020 will not be traded. The move means that most of the farmed salmon industry and the entire European sector will source soy from suppliers with value chains completely deforestation and conversion free.
