Banner Smoked Fish Recalls Lengthy List of Products Due to Listeria Monocytogenes
New York-based Banner Smoked Fish voluntarily recalled its SMOKED FISH products within expiry, in all package sizes, all package types and all lots, in all 42 products are listed on the recall.
The recall was initiated because the products may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, per a notice on the FDA website. During a routine FDA inspection, the products were found to be processed under unsanitary conditions. As of June 2, no illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem...
