Russian Financial Conglomerate AFK Sistema Expands in Domestic Fish Business
AFK Sistema, the Russian financial corporation, owned by Vladimir Yevtushenkov, one of Russia’s richest persons, is expanding into the domestic fish business by the acquisition of 49% stake in the Kamchatka-based "Zarya" enterprise which produces about 20,000 tons of salmon per year and caviar from it.
According to its own data, "Zarya" owns the rights for 5 river fishing sites and 16 sites in the Sea of Okhotsk, as well as two processing plants with a total capacity of 460 tons of products per day...
