Skretting Agrees to Build Feed Plant for Atlantic Sapphire’s U.S. Land-based Salmon Facility
Fish feed producer Skretting and land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire has reached an agreement to build a state-of-the-art feed plant in Florida. Atlantic Sapphire said the feed plant will be specialized for its Bluehouse farming method.
A local feed plant will minimize the carbon footprint of transporting the feed to the facility, and is expected to cut the Company's logistics cost, and thereby its cost of production, by approximately USD 0.3/kg HOG, Atlantic Sapphire said.
