Restaurants Offer Deals to Bring in Customers on Valentine’s Day
In 2020, about a month before COVID-19 lockdowns had everyone isolating at home, total Valentine’s Day spending hit a record $27.4 billion. With COVID still top of mind in 2021, and restrictions still in place in some areas, that figure dropped to $21.8 billion. But spending is on the rise again in 2022! The National Retail Federation (NRF) reports that total spending is expected to reach $23.9 billion this year, the second-highest year on record.
