Big things are coming from Aqua Cultured Foods, the company that recently released the squid-free calamari fries.
The food tech startup announced on Wednesday that they’ve made advancements in their novel fermentation technology that is allowing them to double their biomass output in the same time frame. As a result, the company said that they’ve effectively doubled production of their whole-muscle cut tuna and whitefish, popcorn shrimp, calamari and scallop alternatives.
