Omega Protein Harvesters Assist in Gulf of Mexico At-Sea Rescue

Fishermen aboard the F/V Mississippi Sound and the F/V Frosty Morn, which harvest menhaden for Omega Protein, assisted in a rescue of six boaters off the Mississippi coast in the Gulf of Mexico on May 31.
Both vessels, which are owned by Ocean Harvesters, a company that has a long-term supply deal with Omega, received a distress call from the U.S. Coast Guard to assist a boat taking on water and each vessel diverted to participate in the rescue.
